The Construction of the Mbwajumali Seawall is a coastal protection and community resilience project initiated to safeguard Mbwajumali village in Lamu County from the destructive effects of high tides, flooding, and sea erosion. The project involves building a modern seawall to act as a barrier between the Indian Ocean and the settlement, thereby protecting homes, public infrastructure, and sanitation facilities that are frequently compromised during tidal surges.
